KRIYANANDA DHAM
KRIYAYOGA ASHRAM
“Educating for Human Greatness through Kriya Yoga”
KRIYANANDA BABA
( YOGACHARYA SRI HANISHJI )
THE MAN BEHIND THE MISSION
Sri Hanishji was born on April 2, 1965. A deep interest in spirituality developed in him during his teenage years. He received the mantra Deeksha from Swami Jnanananda Saraswati in 1980 after meeting him. In the course of time, he encountered a multitude of spiritual figures and acquired knowledge of a variety of spiritual traditions, such as Kashmir Shaivism, Kundalini Yoga, and Satyananda Yoga. He also dedicated time to learning about Lama Fera, Magnified Healing, and Reiki. He is also a proficient tarot card reader, having learned the art from a clairvoyant female practitioner.
In 2001, he was bestowed the Shaktipat Deeksha, which means the descending of Divine Energy, in line with the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism. In the same year, Sri Madabusi Subramaniam introduced him to Kriyayoga in the Lahiri Mahasaya’s family tradition. An accomplished Kriya yogi, Sri M. Subramaniam is a disciple of Sri Satyacharan Lahiri, a realized guru in the Lahiri Mahasaya family lineage of gurus. Between 2001 and 2010, Sri Hanishji taught yoga and reiki to over two thousand people.
He formally became a disciple of Sri Rajarshi Raghabananda in 2013. Sri Rajarshi Raghabananda was the only person, after Sri Lahiri Mahasaya, to become enlightened on the day of his Kriyayoga initiation. Rajarshi expressed his wish to teach Sri Hanishji all six of Kriya Yoga's Progressive Kriyas when they first met. He politely declined the offer and finished four Kriyas in three years. He was subsequently granted the authority to disseminate Kriyayoga teachings to the general public after being ordained as an Acharya within the prestigious Guru Parampara (Lineage of Great Gurus).
In 2018, Sri Swarupananda Brahmachari, also known as the ‘Walking Shiva’, initiated him into the 5th and 6th Kriyas. The capacity to transmit the meditative state of 'paravasta' to others was bestowed upon him by Sri Swarupananda Baba. This attribute renders his Kriyayoga classes particularly unique, as each student simultaneously acquires Kriyayoga and experiences meditation.
A unique piece of advice was given to his disciples by Sri Raghabananda Baba: engage in practice, practice, practice. Nevertheless, it is quite intriguing that he never advised Sri Hanishji to adopt any particular practices. Sri Hanishji, according to him, is a highly advanced yogi as a result of his extensive meditation during his previous incarnation. Rajarshi encouraged him to write a book on the subject in order to broaden the understanding of Kriyayoga among those who are interested in spirituality.
Sri Swarupananda Baba has declared Sri Hanishji a world teacher and has foreseen that his teachings will be disseminated globally in the near future. Moreover, he conferred the title of ‘Kriyananda Baba’ upon him, which signifies “a spiritual person who is perpetually immersed in joy through the practice of Kriya Yoga."

KRIYANANDA DHAM
The practice of Kriya Yoga gradually changes human nature from its raw, unpolished state to its pure, bright, and spontaneous state. Kriya Yoga is, in fact, an alchemical skill, a transformational craft. It has the ability to turn base metal into gold.
-Sri Kriyananda Baba
Most people believe that ashrams are purely for individuals who have given up their lives and come to do charity. Spirituality has suffered as a result of these highly flawed and destructive ideas. Ashrams are places where people may learn to develop their own unique rhythm. In this setting, he learns how to achieve complete inner and outer harmony. This state of being can be accomplished by using time-tested spiritual practices and following the guidance of a master who has already walked this path.
The practice of Kriyayoga enables a man to have a healthy physique, emotions that are in harmony, the ability to think clearly, and the capacity to have a creative life. Through Karmayoga, we may experience meditation throughout the day and find serenity in any circumstance. This is the moment when we are truly living a spiritual path.
